What we do about the sentences nobody said
Every automatic transcription and translation tool gets things wrong sometimes. Most of them publish one accuracy number and stop there. Here is what we actually do when the model is wrong, not what we would like you to assume.
We filter the hallucinations we know how to recognize
Peer-reviewed research (Koenecke et al., "Careless Whisper", 2024) found entire fabricated sentences in around 1% of transcriptions from this class of speech model, often triggered by audio with no real speech in it. Before a Whisper transcription on Scribit.AI reaches translation or a summary, it runs through a filter that strips known filler phrases the model inserts when there is nothing to transcribe, and collapses a phrase repeated three or more times back to back, the fingerprint of this failure mode. It catches the patterns we know to look for. It is not a guarantee against every fabricated sentence a model can invent.
Every translated document is checked before you see "done"
Translated documents go through integrity and glossary checks before delivery: corrupted characters, a paragraph count that does not match the source, a name or term that should have stayed as it was. If a check does not pass, the job is not quietly marked "completed": it is labeled so you know to look before forwarding it.
You always get the file. The label is the honest part
A failed check does not mean you get nothing back. You get the same document, with a status attached instead of a false "completed". We do not hold a delivery back, and we do not mark a flagged one clean either: that trade seemed worse to us than the alternative.
What we do not claim
We do not sell a single accuracy percentage. Automatic transcription and translation can still be wrong in ways our checks do not catch, and today the status you see is a plain label next to the file, not an itemized report. What we commit to is a process: known failure patterns get filtered, every document gets checked, and the status reflects what actually happened, not what we hoped would happen.
See it on your own file
Paste a paragraph in the demo, no signup. Upload a document once you have an account: the status is part of what you get back, not a separate report to chase down.
